The next day Cass received a texted from an unknown number:
“You need to practice with it, if you are going to wear it all night. An hour a day minimum. Looking forward to seeing you in it Sabina XXX”
This proved problematic after a long day and then hour Bickram with Sam and their friend Alec.
Sam was doubled with laughter in the changing rooms. “Look at the Ginger Dita Von Teese of the City. Glad we were the only women in that class. If anyone saw you they would think you were a stripper.”
“You are just jealous.” Cass laughed.
“It does look good though. But really are you sure about all this. Are you ready?” a look of concern crossed Sam’s face.
“It has been three years. Jason would want me to live.” Cass said, feeling a pang of guilt.
“As long as you are sure. But seriously Cass, this way you are trying to get back on an elephant, not just a horse.”
“I do not want to be in love with someone new. I just want to get away from this feeling,” Cass said with sudden frustration. “I am still in love with Jason. But ….I don’t know, I just want to feel desirable again, is that wrong? ”
“No, perfectly normal. I am worried by the way you are dealing with the feeling.”
Sam had a set thinking about the way life should be and a set programme about how and when she was going to achieve it. Cass’ lack of a concrete plan of action both excited and frustrated Sam.
Sam’s unbending beliefs on life worried Cass. She was sure that Sam would not be able to cope with a curved ball hitting her.
“I think I am dealing with it the best I can. I know it sounds mad. I probably won’t get any, they will smell the crazy on me.”
“Of course you will get some. Look at you. Anyway a lot of men find that very attractive.” winked Sam.
“Who said anything about men?” laughed Cass
“You are a tart,” Sam retorted flatly.
